One Home Garden Organic Waste Beneficiation Centre is a community-based circular economy facility in Groutville, KwaDukuza, transforming locally generated organic waste into valuable resources such as compost, mulch and soil-enhancing products instead of allowing these materials to be disposed of at landfill. What differentiates One Home Garden is that our work goes beyond compost production: we connect organic waste recovery with soil restoration, food security, environmental education, indigenous greening and community development, demonstrating how decentralised organics recycling can create environmental, social and economic value within the same community in which the waste is generated.
