Urban Farms, founded in 2010, provides innovative food waste recycling solutions to corporate offices, restaurants, caterers, food processors and hotels.

Our fully managed solution incorporates all aspects of the recycling process; from source separation systems, food waste stabilisation, waste logistics to recycling at our compost and vermiculture facilities.  We are accountable at every point in the process to ensure we provide our clients with industry leading service, traceability and reliability.

We provide services too many blue chip clients; including Nedbank, FNB, ABSA, Investec, Don’t Waste Services, Recycle Drive, WastePlan, PWC, KPMG, Old Mutual and Life & Brand Group.

We operate a certified commercial vermiculture and composting facility in Gauteng (Modderfontein) and Cape Town (Philippi) that recycle these food wastes into a range of pure earthworm castings (vermicast), compost and vermi-compost products.
